Recruitment

  • WashU's Formal Recruitment happens just before the start of spring semester every year. Recruitment allows the Potential New Members to get to know women from each of the chapters on campus and to see if WashU Greek Life is for them. This year Recruitment will run from January 10th through January 15th, 2012. We look forward to sharing what life as an AOII is like with all of the Potential New Members!

A week after Bid Day all New Members will go through our Pledging Ceremony during which each girl will receive a badge that they will keep until Initiation. The six weeks following pledging will give New Members a taste of what life will be like as an active member of AOII. It will be filled lessons about AOII from our New Member Educator, bonding activities with the pledge class and actives, and all of fun things that our chapter does through out the year. We are extremely excited to welcome our newest Pledge Class to Delta Kappa Chapter and our sisterhood!

        • “What we want are high minded, like minded, loyal hearted girls who will work together happily and hard according to their talents for worthy achievements in and for their college. Achievements that shall bring pride to AOII, spur their personal ambitions and help them toward a goal. We want girls who will not only take a lot of fun and happiness out of college but also put some useful service into it, who will have enough grace to be popular, enough generosity to enjoy life with others and the esteem of others, but enough character to do all this without making the slightest concession of principal or conduct." Stella George Stern Perry
